Ortis

Ortis was a physician, specifically a doctor, of the Human species (a male) hailing from Balmorra. He collaborated with Doctor Otak'or Meln to create the Barrager superweapon during the period known as the Cold War. Following the Sith Empire's conquest of Balmorra, both Meln and Ortis were incarcerated in the Gorinth Brig, leaving the Barrager project incomplete. In the year 3642 BBY, a citizen of the Republic liberated them from their confinement, and they assisted in securing the now-finished Barrager for the Republic.
