Ossus Academy Main Hangar
The primary hangar of the Ossus Academy, situated on Ossus, was carved into a cliff face, facing the academy's structure. The New Jedi Order utilized this facility until the academy's demise during the Massacre at Ossus.
Layout and usage
The hangar's entrance opened into a smaller area where maintenance was conducted on all arriving spacecraft. Adjoining the hangar was the flight control center, responsible for monitoring all airspace over Ossus. This central flight control room featured a holoprojector at its core, surrounded by numerous control consoles. Orame, a non-Jedi, oversaw the hangar, supervising all activities within. It was here that Luke Skywalker became aware of Alema Rar, a Dark Jedi, escaping from Cilghal's lab. Later, it would assist the GAG forces invading in their pursuit of Jedi.
The Temple ziggurat had four landing platforms extending from its main structure to accommodate smaller ships. These pads, connected to the four main pillars supporting the inverted pyramid and encircling the academy's Garden Level, were used to deliver supplies and technical equipment. It was on one of these four platforms that Kol Skywalker was struck down during a Sith assault.
A landing platform on the academy building's roof served as a place for diplomatic ships to land for meetings with the Jedi. Other platforms were located on the surrounding grounds.
