P-6 was a tracked droid working for the Star Tours travel company as a quarantine inspector. His duties included cleaning the baggage claim zone and, together with his partner S-4, examining arriving astrocultural shipments. He accomplished this by spraying luggage with disinfectant. A blue R2 unit oversaw both of them. At some point, P-6 also carried out maintenance on StarSpeeder 3000s.
The origin of this droid is a "Spot the Droid" poster seen at the Tokyo Disneyland Star Tours attraction; its details were translated on the EndorExpress.net fan website, and in the Complete Guide to Star Tours booklet. While the droid appeared on the first day the ride opened, he and his colleague, S-4, were later taken away. The "droids" were actually industrial robots that had been modified.
