Pabu cove was a rocky inlet situated on the isle of Pabu. This inlet resided beneath the seawall which separated Lower from Upper Pabu; however, it was situated in a mostly deserted section of the island, distant from the populated areas. Consequently, it served as an ideal sanctuary for individuals desiring solitude or a place for introspection. The cove primarily consisted of slick stones, alongside a small sandy beach area. Furthermore, a cave was also present in the cove.
Prior to the premiere of "The Harbinger," Joel Aron indicated that the episode would immerse viewers in "a cave of wonder," hinting at the significance of the Pabu cave within the episode.
