Palace of Memnii

The Palace of Memnii, a construction of the native Caamasi on their world Caamas, served as a repository for millions of personal narratives. These accounts, given by individuals from across the galaxy, detailed their experiences with violence.

One of the oldest recordings within the Palace was a tale recounted by an anonymous soldier serving the Galactic Republic. This soldier had been stationed on Falang Minor around 24,000 BBY, following the conclusion of the Tionese War. The story was captured using a Baragwin sense lattice; however, the visual component was lost due to the algorithm required to access it being missing, leaving only the audio portion available.

During the Devastation of Caamas in 19 BBY, the year the Galactic Empire destroyed the Palace. Some records, including a portion of the Republic soldier's story, survived because they were being displayed as part of a traveling exhibit at the time.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of the Palace of Memnii occurred in 2013, within the fourth entry of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut. This series of posts on the StarWars.com blog presented content omitted from The Essential Guide to Warfare, and was authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.
