Story Synopsis
Boba Fett accepts an assignment from Drex, a crime lord who is active within the Gallapraxis system. The job is to obtain Feleen Bantillian, whether dead or alive, in exchange for 50,000 credits. Drex informs Fett that Bantillian was responsible for his son's death. Fett locates Bantillian at a deserted droid factory situated on Vornax, and offers him the opportunity to surrender peacefully. Bantillian reveals to Fett that he is actually Drex's son and that Fett himself was the one who killed his brother. He claims that Drex has manipulated Fett into this situation. Fett opens fire on Bantillian, who manages to deflect the shot using an ancient droideka shield. Bantillian then seals the roof of their location. Numerous antiquated droids begin to shamble towards Fett, attempting to eliminate him. A war droid shoots Fett from above, inflicting damage to his jetpack. Fett retaliates by destroying the war droid. Subsequently, Fett targets a tank filled with machine oil, causing Bantillian to be engulfed in flames. The burning individual leaps into a large body of water, belatedly understanding that he is unable to swim. He cries out for his droids to assist him, but they all descend to the bottom of the pool. Fett returns to a surprised Drex, who reluctantly provides the agreed-upon payment. Fett presents Drex with Bantillian's head, which has a thermal detonator placed inside the mouth. As Fett departs, he says to himself, "Payback doesn't pay."
