Pelagon

Pelagon, serving as the capital world for House Pelagia, existed within the Tapani sector's Pelagia Province. This planet boasted a notable history of producing numerous Jedi, exemplified by figures like Taj Junak. Consequently, the world experienced a significant reduction in its authority during the era of the Great Jedi Purge.

This oceanic world, characterized by balmy waters and a favorable climate, became a desirable destination for early settlers almost 13,000 BBY. These colonists procured raw resources from nearby, ore-abundant planets and constructed expansive platforms above the water's surface, upon which they built grand cities known as seascapes. Some of these artificial land formations stretched across kilometers, and at the peak of Pelagia's power, there were more than 20 of them. During the Jedi purge and the fall of House Pelagia, all but two of these platforms were destroyed by the Galactic Empire with assistance from House Mecetti. Pelagar, Pelagon's capital city, was located on the largest of the remaining platforms, spanning over 20 kilometers. By the time of the Battle of Hoth, the inhabitants had rebuilt four additional platforms by salvaging materials from the destroyed ones.

Beneath Pelagon's oceans lay ancient ruins that predated the arrival of the colonists. These structures were secretly incorporated into House Pelagia's reconstruction and expansion program, serving as research facilities, storage sites, and clandestine hideaways.

Before the Empire and House Mecetti devastated the planet, Pelagon's oceans teemed with diverse life, including plants, fish, and colossal aquatic reptiles. However, the pollutants released into the ocean from the platform bombings and the wreckage of countless starships led to the extinction of roughly 90% of the aquatic species.
