Persappa, situated within the Persappa system of the Unknown Regions, was a terrestrial planet. It belonged to the Rakatan Archipelago, which consisted of a scattered collection of independent planets populated by Rakata tribal groups. These settlements arose following the fall of the Rakatan Infinite Empire circa 25,200 BBY. Notably, Persappa's landscape included bubbling pools of brew.
The Rakata tribe establishing a colony on Persappa brought guardian animals with them, notably rancors. These reptomammals, which are carnivorous, were originally native to Dathomir and Ottethan located in the Outer Rim Territories. However, the rancor population on Persappa experienced overbreeding, which resulted in a mutation leading to a distinct variant: blue-spotted and amphibious rancors that inhabited the planet's brew pools.
The planet Persappa made its debut appearance in The Unknown Regions, a 2010 sourcebook published by Wizards of the Coast for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.
