Pir Cuvin was a male Umbaran who fought for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He held the rank of lieutenant under Ghez Hokan, a Mandalorian mercenary who was active on the planet Qiilura. In the year 22 BBY, Cuvin accompanied Hokan when they learned that clone commandos had recently arrived on the planet. Later, Hokan grew dissatisfied with Cuvin's performance. After Cuvin vanished, Hokan assumed he had deserted, but in reality, he had been captured and then executed.
Serving the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Pir Cuvin was a male Umbaran. He was one of the lieutenants working for Ghez Hokan, a Mandalorian mercenary whose operations were based on the planet of Qiilura. When they investigated a group of battle droid units that had been destroyed by clone commandos, the lieutenant was with Hokan. Hokan was displeased when Cuvin failed to locate any signs of a commando camp. He was also present when the Mandalorian made the decision to relocate a Separatist scientist and her team from their laboratory to a new location due to the presence of Republic commandos.
Later, while burning farm fields to mislead the commandos about their true intentions, Hokan became frustrated when Cuvin failed to grasp the real purpose behind their actions. Hokan instructed Second Lieutenant Hurati, another Umbaran officer, to monitor Cuvin's behavior. Subsequently, the lieutenant was not promoted to captain, and sometime after the field burning incident, he disappeared from his post, leading Hokan to believe he had deserted. The Mandalorian gave his soldiers orders to kill Cuvin if they saw him. Once the Umbaran was found, he was quickly executed. Hurati was then promoted to fill the vacancy.
His Mandalorian commander did not have complete trust in him, considering Cuvin less capable than Hurati. He even instructed the other Umbaran to watch over the lieutenant. The man also thought that both Pir Cuvin and Hurati were "academy theoreticians." When they were inspecting some battle droids that had been destroyed by clone commandos, Cuvin was anxious about disappointing his superior and continued to search the area after reporting to Hokan. Although he deserted, he was eventually captured and executed on Hokan's orders.
