Piti, a Yarkora who served as both a pilot and navigator, worked alongside communications specialist Kenny in Pathfinder team 71-B9 for the Galactic Republic. Back in 382 BBY, Piti and Kenny detached themselves from their team's Jedi companions to get a message to Jedi Knight Gella Nattai. The message clarified that the previous order for her to move Axel Greylark from the Republic Correctional Facility was, in fact, a mistake. However, by the time Nattai received this updated information, Greylark had already successfully escaped, aided by Binnot Ullo of the Path of the Open Hand. Following this, Piti made the decision to assist Nattai and her Jedi Master partner, Orin Darhga, in their pursuit of the pirate cargo ship used in Greylark's escape.
Piti tracked the cargo ship until it reached the moon of Jedha, at which point they boarded the Republic vessel Alliance. Piti then remotely piloted their Pathfinder ship, skillfully manipulating Ullo and the pirates into attacking and destroying it. This was a ruse to make them believe they were dead and no longer a threat. Kenny was visibly upset by the ship's destruction, but Piti reassured him that the Republic would take care of the expenses. Kenny suggested joining Nattai for the remainder of her mission to pursue Greylark, but she insisted that he and Piti remain behind for their safety. Piti reinforced this by telling Kenny that staying behind was the correct choice, as he wasn't suited for espionage, especially after his emotional reaction to their ship's demise.
Later, during the Night of Sorrow on the planet Dalna, Piti and Kenny responded to a distress call, arriving in a Pathfinder ship to provide support to the Jedi Order in their battle against the Path of the Open Hand. Kenny contacted Nattai, informing her of their arrival and intention to assist her and Dargha. However, Nattai delivered the news that Dargha had been killed in action. Piti expressed her condolences to Nattai and inquired about how she could help. Nattai requested covering fire, which Piti provided.
