Plun Kil, a Besalisk by species, existed during the era of the Galactic Republic. Kil achieved the rank of Jedi Master around the time of the Clone Wars and functioned as a general for the Republic while the Jedi Order battled the Confederacy of Independent Systems. This Jedi Master was characterized by black hair, yellow eyes, and beige skin. In at least one instance, Kil was seen wearing a tan shirt and brown trousers, secured with a belt, along with brown sandals. Furthermore, this Jedi Master sometimes carried four lightsabers, specifically three with blue blades and one with a green blade.
The character of Plun Kil was initially conceived for inclusion in the second season of the canon animated show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Kilian Plunkett created concept artwork for the Besalisk Jedi Master during the development phase of the show's second season. Despite this, Kil was ultimately absent from all episodes of the series. Eventually, a Besalisk Jedi Master was introduced to the series as Pong Krell, a character who played an antagonistic role in the Umbara Arc of fourth season of The Clone Wars.
