• 5000 BBY The Unification Wars conclude, resulting in the unification of the Koros system under the rule of Empress Teta.[1] Marka Ragnos passes away, triggering a contest between Sith Lords Ludo Kressh and Naga Sadow, each vying to take Ragnos's place. Watched by Ragnos's spirit, Sadow is victorious and crowned the new Dark Lord of the Sith.[5] The Great Hyperspace War—a galactic-scale war between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire—ignites when two young hyperspace explorers, Gav and Jori Daragon, stumble upon the Sith.[1] The Manderon Period comes to a close.[1] Sadow initiates the Great Hyperspace War aiming to conquer the Republic, launching invasions on key Republic planets, including Coruscant and the Koros system, via the Daragon Trail hyperlane.[1] The Holocron of King Adas goes missing on Ashas Ree after the death of its owner, Lord Garu.[6] Sadow's forces are ultimately forced to retreat after his armies are discovered to be largely illusions. Sadow flees back to the Sith Empire, where Ludo Kressh confronts him.[1] Sadow escapes by annihilating Kressh's fleet just ahead of a pursuing Republic fleet, ultimately seeking refuge on the moon of Yavin 4.[1] The Sith starship Omen crashes on the isolated planet Kesh, marooning its crew as the Lost Tribe of Sith, while its sister ship Harbinger is propelled into the future, arriving around 41 ABY.[7] Supreme Chancellor Pultimo authorizes an invasion of the Stygian Caldera to eradicate the remnants of the Sith Empire.[1] A supernova explodes in the Moddell sector, creating the Din Pulsar. • 4999 BBY The Sith Lord Vitiate summons the remaining Sith Lords of the Empire to his home planet of Nathema, where he binds their wills to his own and performs a powerful Sith magic ritual. The Ritual of Nathema drains the Force from the entire planet, killing everyone except Vitiate; Vitiate becomes immortal and incredibly powerful, transforming into the Sith Emperor.[11] Accusing the Jedi of Nathema's destruction, the Sith Emperor gathers the remains of the Empire and begins a long exodus from Sith Space.[11]

• 4998 BBY Ravilan Wroth suffers a permanent leg injury during a confrontation with an uvak on Kesh.[12]

• c. 4995 BBY Nida Korsin is born to Grand Lord Yaru Korsin of the Lost Tribe and his wife, Seelah.[13]

• 4987 BBY The Keshiri worker Finn Vaal, son of Adari Vaal, dies in a construction accident.[13]

• 4985 BBY Ravilan Wroth uses cyanogen silicate to poison a Keshiri village in an attempt to persuade the Lost Tribe to flee Kesh, but Seelah Korsin poisons more villages and blames Wroth for the massacre. Wroth and the fifty-seven surviving pureblood Sith are executed as a consequence.[12]

• c. 4500 BBY Republic parties begin contacting Kamino, seeking to utilize the Kaminoans' exceptional cloning capabilities.[1] By this point, Republic scouts had located the star systems of what would become the Corporate Sector.[1] The Altiri and Anarrians encounter each other, initiating a global conflict that lasts nearly six centuries.[9] An independent scout ship exits hyperspace too close to Iol's gravity well, resulting in a crash and the accidental discovery of a large durasteel ore vein. The pilot claims the planet Iol, but Tangan Industries intercepts and alters the claim, granting the company rights to the world.[9] The Barabel War, a conflict spanning millennia among the Barabel species, erupts over hunting territory disputes on their homeworld of Barab I.[22]

• c. 4498 BBY Tangan Industries completes a full mining colony on Iol, which expands into three cities over the next few centuries.[9]

• 4400 BBY After being denied Knighthood, a Padawan named Freedon Nadd explores the Yavin system and encounters Naga Sadow's spirit, who corrupts Nadd to the dark side. Nadd kills Sadow's spirit and becomes king of Onderon, implementing a policy of banishing criminals into the wilderness beyond Iziz. Nadd establishes a dynasty of dark side monarchs.[3][23] The exiled criminals tame Onderon's wild beasts, becoming the Beast Riders, who wage war on Iziz, sparking the Beast Wars.[3] The Mon Calamari of Dac begin launching starliners to colonize planets around their homeworld over the next two centuries. • 4300 BBY The Miraluka Jedi Master Noab Hulis arrives on H'ratth and speaks with Chamma, convincing him to return to the light and end his exile.[24]

• 4250 BBY The Third Great Schism begins as Dark Jedi battle their counterparts on Coruscant. The Dark Jedi are eventually driven offworld and retreat to the Vultar system, where their attempt to control the Cosmic Turbine results in the Vultar Cataclysm—the destruction of the entire Vultar system.[3] The wingmaw and its main predator, the Balmorran maweater, are accidentally transported from their home island chain to the mainland of Balmorra. • c. 4200 BBY The Mecrosa Order is founded on Nyssa by Viscountess Mireya, though it is corrupted—allegedly by Mireya herself—by Sith teachings over the next two centuries.[23] Tatooine is first settled by offworlders.[1] Argazda seeks admission into the Republic.[1] The Hapes Cluster becomes a refuge for the Lorell Raiders, a pirate group that terrorizes the Perlemian for generations.[1] Arkanis is colonized by pilgrims from Ator.[1]

• 4166 BBY The Mon Calamari make first contact with the Republic when Republic scouts encounter Mon Calamari starships near Ruisto.[1] Spice smugglers discover Darvannis in the Calaron sector. (Approximate date)[27]

The hospital is renamed Dynamet General in gratitude.[32] Around this time, civil war erupts between Taris's nobility and its largely alien lower class. Rising toxic pollution poisons the oceans and famine sweeps the city-world, causing the nobility to hoard food. The lower classes rebel, but the rebellion is crushed after millions die.[33]

• c. 4050 BBY Jedi Knights decimate the Lorell Raiders at the Battle of Lorell, causing the survivors to retreat to the Hapes Cluster. The Raiders and their female prisoners eventually evolve into the matriarchal and isolationist Hapes Consortium.[18] Scouts from Shor discover Giaca.[9] Drokko Kira is banished from Iziz for challenging Freedon Nadd's dark side legacy.[34]

• c. 4043 BBY Dark Councilors Darth Victun and Darth Qalar engage in a Kaggath that destroys the Imperial Citadel, and the rest of the Council kills both Sith when it ends in a draw.[35] The Sith Lord Darth Nostrem rebuilds the Imperial Citadel according to the Emperor's designs, and is cast into its depths upon completion.[36]

• 4030 BBY Arca Jeth and a team of Jedi defeat the Lorell Raiders, resulting in the later-formed Hapes Consortium's hatred of the Jedi.[3]

• 4024 BBY The Mandalorians attack Nevoota, beginning the Nevoota Extinction.[26]

• 4021 BBY The Nevoota Extinction ends with the extermination of the insectoid Nevoota.[26]

• 4015 BBY The Great Droid Revolution: the Czerka assassin droid HK-01 seizes power by subverting the programming of thousands of droids and turning them against their masters. Jedi intervention ends the conflict after three months.[26]

• c. 4010 BBY Veni Ramunee is born on Alderaan.[21] Candra Kitai is born on Kesh.[14]

• 4009 BBY The Systino crime syndicate discovers Sraato, a world rich in valuable natural resources, and dominates most criminal activity in the sector for the next two centuries.[9] The Jedi Master Jev Sunrider dies on Krayiss Two.[37]

• 4008 BBY Jev Sunrider's Force ghost appears to his grandson Andur Sunrider on Darada, warning him of his important role in the coming war.[24]

• 4007 BBY The Quesaya Border Conflict begins, and the Republic rocket-jumpers help end it.[18]

This period hasn't been explicitly named, although Daniel Wallace suggested it might be part of the larger Sidereal Era. No official canon sources have confirmed this as the dating system for the Sidereal Era mentioned in The Constancia Affair hasn't been fully revealed.
