The Prakith system, alternatively referred to as the Prakith Minor system, existed as a star system within the region of space known as the Colonies.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Jason Fry together with Daniel Wallace and published in 2009, provided the initial mention of the Prakith Minor system. During the creation of the The Essential Atlas Online Companion, Jason Fry disclosed that the system was conceived to resolve discrepancies arising from system coordinates cited in Shield of Lies, which mistakenly located the Prakith system inside Sector One.
