Qel-Droma robe

Duronrobes Duron Qel-Droma wearing his family's robes The Qel-Droma robes were originally crafted as a present for Cay Qel-Droma during the time of the Sith War. These robes were worn by Cay at the time of his death when he was murdered by his brother Ulic Qel-Droma, who had succumbed to the influence of the dark side. These robes were then inherited by Cay and Ulic's cousin, Duron Qel-Droma, but vanished shortly after the Great Hunt along with Duron himself. Later on, during the Jedi Civil War, Revan and his allies discovered these robes within a cave on Korriban shortly after defeating the Terentatek that had brought about the demise of Duron Qel-Droma; Duron's skeletal remains were found alongside them.

Legend stated that the robes could only be worn by individuals devoted to the light side of the Force. Filled with the light side, the robes were said to amplify the wearer's wisdom and provide enhanced protection.

In the moments leading up to his passing, Duron Qel-Droma foresaw a vision of the redeemed Revan discovering his remains, putting on the robes, and then achieving victory over a disfigured Sith.

Behind the scenes

When the robe first made an appearance, it was depicted as a simple red cape, not significantly different from earlier portrayals of Cay Qel-Droma. Conversely, in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the robe utilizes the same model as the standard Jedi robe, and can only be equipped by a Jedi character aligned with the light side (either the player character if light side choices are made, Bastila, or Juhani). Most recently, it was featured in Shadows and Light, illustrated by Dustin Weaver. The comic book once again shows the red coloring as initially presented.
