A Rakata Computer represented a type of computer engineered by the old Rakata from the Infinite Empire. Functionally, they served as both data repositories, accessible via computer terminals, and as mechanisms to operate doors and other infrastructure. One notable feature was their self-sufficiency; the computers' internal systems possessed the ability to conduct self-repairs. This capability allowed the Rakata Computers to endure for tens of thousands of years following the Infinite Empire's collapse. On the planet Dantooine, two such terminals were situated within the ruins close to the Jedi Enclave, with an additional pair located on Lehon, the Rakata homeworld.
During 1000 BBY, Darth Bane, a Sith Lord, explored the lower sections of the Temple of the Ancients on Lehon, seeking dark side artifacts. He ultimately reached a chamber containing the remains of a large Rakatan computer, which was irreparably damaged. It was in this room that Bane discovered and obtained Darth Revan's Sith Holocron, concealed behind a stone in the wall adjacent to the computer.
