Rana, a female Human, achieved the rank of Jedi Knight and served the Jedi Order as the Galactic Republic neared its end. Widely recognized for her skills as a pilot, she became part of the Jedi Starfighter Corps.
Rana's Force-sensitive nature was identified early in her life, leading to her placement at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where she began her training in the Force and its light side. As a student within the Temple's academy, Rana successfully graduated and was chosen by a Jedi Master to become their Padawan apprentice. Following years of dedicated study and travel, she faced the Trials of Knighthood, which she overcame, earning the title of Jedi Knight. As a Knight, Rana chose to focus her independent studies on the path of the Jedi Guardian. Specializing as a skilled ace pilot, Rana became a respected member of the Starfighter Corps.
In 41 BBY, Rana continued to operate from the Coruscant Temple, undertaking missions assigned by the Jedi High Council. On one occasion, Rana transported fellow Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to the remote planet of Ragoon VI, where they sought to resolve their growing differences in isolation. Two decades later, Rana remained an active pilot within the Starfighter Corps, flying one of the Order's new Delta-7 Aethersprite interceptors. While stationed at the Temple during the Separatist Crisis, Rana responded to the call of Master of the Order Mace Windu and accompanied him to Geonosis as part of a large rescue team to save Jedi Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Senator Padmé Amidala from execution by the Separatist Council of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. While many Jedi stormed the Petranaki arena on the ground, Rana participated in the battle in orbit under the command of Jedi Councilor Adi Gallia.
