Rana Halion

Rana Halion was an Ierian female who reigned over Ieria as its leader in the later part of the Galactic Republic era.

Halion, who championed a fairer distribution of trade routes, sought to secure representation for her planet, which was located in the larger Andaran system. She campaigned for a position in the Galactic Senate, asserting that Andara's existence diminished Ieria's prominence; she believed that granting her world an independent seat would allow its people to prosper.

Halion secretly employed a band of rebellious mercenary students who had found sanctuary within Andara's prestigious Leadership School to help galvanize support for her cause. However, Gillam Tarturi, the son of her rival, Senator Berm Tarturi of Andara, was actually in charge of the rebel group. The plan to assassinate the senator went horribly wrong when Gillam staged his own kidnapping as part of Halion's scheme. The criminal endeavor was only stopped with the help of the Jedi High Council, who dispatched two undercover "transfer students" to the school (Anakin Skywalker and Ferus Olin, with their Masters providing assistance) to investigate Gillam's disappearance. The presence of the Jedi Knights and their Padawans, who successfully infiltrated Halion's network of conspirators, ultimately brought the Andaran dispute to a conclusion.

Halion was a tall, slender humanoid with short, spiky white hair. Her presence was imposing, and she had piercing, light blue eyes that were almost colorless. She wore golden bands around her powerful wrists.
