The Rancor Cave existed on the far-flung planet of Dathomir, and was in close proximity to the Nightsister Stronghold. A large population of rancors inhabited it.
The entrance leading to the Chamber of Banishment, the prison of Axkva Min, was concealed within the cave's most secluded areas and protected by Nightsisters.
The Rancor Cave appeared as a location within Star Wars Galaxies, the 2003 video game. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The Rancor Cave was introduced to the game via the "Publish 5" update, which went live on December 16, 2003.
