Reann Tomvig was a human female who started her journey in the Imperial Academy, which served as the Galactic Empire's military training program. Nevertheless, after encountering a band of rebels, she had a change of heart and betrayed her cadets, choosing to fight against the Empire instead.
Subsequently, during Reann's inaugural mission for the rebels alongside Ezra Bridger and Mizel Pomdak, she realized that firing weapons at others didn't align with her values, leading her to pursue her own path by stealing a shuttle and traveling to Alderaan.
The writer Martin Fisher conceived Reann Tomvig for the Star Wars Rebels Magazine. For the character's visual appearance, the artist Eva Widermann drew inspiration from Snow White.
