A Rebel Base, situated on Rori, the moon of Naboo known for its swamps, served as a strategic asset for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War.

During 1 ABY, the Galactic Empire discovered the whereabouts of the Rebel Military Base on Tatooine, which compelled the Rebellion to abandon the base and seek a new location to evade detection by the Empire. Speculation arose that they had moved to Rori, the moon of Naboo characterized by its swampy terrain. As it turned out, the Rebels did, in fact, move their base to Rori, specifically northwest of Lake Octir. This base, mirroring its predecessor on Tatooine, was designed in the shape of the Alliance Starbird.
Quickly, the Rebel Base became a hotly contested area during the Galactic Civil War, with Imperial and Rebel forces engaging in multiple battles for control. Although Imperial forces succeeded in capturing the base on several occasions, the Rebel Alliance consistently managed to reclaim it.
In the same year, a spacer infiltrated the base and made off with an Obsidian sword.
The Rori Rebel Base made an appearance in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011.
The Rebel Base was implemented into Star Wars Galaxies with the game's initial major update, "Publish 1," which was released on August 13, 2003. The developers altered the old base on Tatooine to appear destroyed, and a new base was established on Rori. The same graphical model that was used for the intact Tatooine base was reused for the new base on Rori. In the game itself, no explanation was provided for the Rebels' relocation from Tatooine to Rori, but the patch notes offered insight. The notes indicated that the Rebels abandoned the Tatooine base in order to avoid being detected by the Empire.
The Rebel Base was classified as a "Factional NPC Base." Groups of Imperial players had the ability to attack Rebel NPCs and complete various objectives in order to seize control of the base.
