Red-rated constable designated the second-least experienced position within the Sullustan Constable Brigade. Those holding the red-rated constable rank were viewed as newcomers to the brigade. This brigade functioned as the law enforcement division for the SoroSuub Corporation, the governing body of the Outer Rim Territories planet Sullust. Like the other eight ranks in the Sullustan Constable Brigade, the name of the red-rated constable position corresponded to a color within the light spectrum.
The title of red-rated constable appeared in the Strongholds of Resistance sourcebook for Star Wars Roleplaying, released in 2015 by Fantasy Flight Games. This book was part of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game series.
