The Rendili Vehicle Corporation, a business entity, was managed and possessed by the company bearing the same designation. This complex, situated on Corellia, served multiple purposes: it was a corporate administrative center, a laboratory, an area for testing, and the home of their design teams. In the era of the Great Galactic War, Hylo Visz, a smuggler, made a visit to the complex. She was there to deliver experimental ion engines representing Barrga, a Hutt affiliated with the Hutt Cartel. Rendili betrayed the Hutt, rigging the smuggler's payment with explosives. Although her ship was destroyed, the Corporation did manage to acquire the ion drives.
During this period, the Rendili Corporation was engaged in a number of agreements with the Galactic Republic, with the ion engine project being only one of them. The facility also contained the Vanguard project—a program focused on creating a cutting-edge corvette starfighter for the Jedi Order. Despite a Jedi representative being scheduled to conduct a test flight of the Vanguard, Hylo Visz, who had survived the assassination attempt, seized control of the vessel and fled the Rendili facility.
