Honor and Duty, Part 1, the forty-sixth installment of the Star Wars: Republic comic book series, saw its release on October 6, 2002, courtesy of Dark Horse Comics.
A crucial vote in the Senate is about to take place, and a Senator hailing from a minor star system unexpectedly finds himself holding two novelties: the influence of a decisive vote, coupled with a threat to his life! Upon the direct request of the Supreme Chancellor, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, accompanied by his apprentice Anakin Skywalker, receive orders to assist in safeguarding the Senator, in conjunction with his customary security detail of Senate Guards. Typically, a quartet of dedicated bodyguards should be more than sufficient to guarantee the Senator's well-being. However, as both the Jedi and the Guards soon realize, the circumstances surrounding this assignment are anything but typical. Star Wars: Republic, along with its companion series Star Wars: Empire, currently serve as the primary comic book representatives for Star Wars established continuity!_
