Part 4 of The Battle of Jabiim represents the fifty-eighth installment of the Star Wars: Republic comic book series. This issue, together with Part 3, was renamed Thunder and Lightning when they were compiled into Star Wars: Clone Wars Volume 3: Last Stand on Jabiim. Dark Horse Comics released it on December 17, 2003.
Jabiim is on the verge of succumbing to Separatist forces, placing the ultimate responsibility on Anakin Skywalker. Obi-Wan has disappeared, and all the other Jedi fighting with Anakin have been killed. A noble course of action would be to fight to the bitter end with the Jabiimi loyalists. A more pragmatic approach would be to preserve the lives of as many troops as possible and withdraw.
The question is: will Anakin follow his emotions, or his reason? Should he sacrifice himself for glory, or live to become a leader? And, crucially, which path is the correct one? Does a "correct" choice even exist?
