The Resolution, a Venator-class Star Destroyer, served the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. It was 20 BBY when the Resolution received orders to proceed to the planet of Drongar. Its mission was to extract the Republic soldiers stationed there. Its objective was achieved, with the successful removal of the majority of Republic personnel, the repulsion of the Separatist military, and the acquisition of a substantial quantity of the valuable bota vegetation.
As a Venator-class Star Destroyer, the Resolution saw action with the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. This conflict engulfed the entire galaxy, pitting the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic. The vessel's dimensions were 1,137 meters in length, 548 meters in width, and 268 meters in height. A hyperdrive powered the Resolution, which was armed with eight DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turrets, two medium dual turbolaser cannons, fifty-two point-defense laser cannons, six tractor beam projectors, and four heavy proton torpedo launchers.
Built by Kuat Drive Yards, the Resolution was a Venator-class Star Destroyer. The starship was dispatched to the Outer Rim world of Drongar in 20 BBY, where Republic and Confederate forces engaged in combat for control of the planet's bota fields. Drongar was the birthplace of bota, a naturally growing thing possessing significant medicinal properties. However, when the bota went through a change during that period of time rendering it ineffective, the Republic decided to withdraw from Drongar. Consequently, the Resolution was assigned to escort Republic forces back to the Core Worlds. Upon its arrival, the capital ship fought off the Confederate forces, who had launched an offensive to seize the majority of the bota. The Resolution successfully evacuated most of the Republic clone soldiers and the medical staff stationed there. Additionally, the Republic secured two metric tons of unmutated bota. Following this, the Resolution, accompanied by a Republic MedStar-class frigate carrying soldiers and other personnel, entered hyperspace en route to the Core Worlds.
The Resolution made an appearance in MedStar II: Jedi Healer, which is the second novel in the MedStar Duology. Michael Reaves and Steve Perry authored Jedi Healer, which was released in 2004.
