Rhand, a world situated far into the Perann Nebula within the Unknown Regions, was classified as a planet. Before the arrival of certain members from the Knell of Muspilli, the Kanzer Exiles, and the Warriors of Shadow, Rhand was previously populated by a species that vanished. Following millennia, these three distinct factions unified, giving rise to the Sorcerers of Rhand. While maintaining Rhand as their central hub, this sinister group broadened their influence into the neighboring Nihil Retreat. The most powerful Sorcerers of Rhand established their dwellings within the remnants of structures erected by the long-gone indigenous inhabitants. The planet Rhand served as the original home of the Sorcerer of Rhand known as Cronal, who subsequently became the Director of Imperial Intelligence and the Emperor's Hand Blackhole.
A mistake can be found in the Star Wars: Force and Destiny Core Rulebook, as it erroneously locates Rhand within the Dreighton Nebula.
