Lieutenant Commander Rilis served as a renowned Black Sun starfighter ace during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In the year 1 ABY, he held command over the Darkveil Eclipse, which functioned as the primary starfighter base for Black Sun within the Bright Jewel system. During the Battle of Tansarii Point Station, Rilis met his death at the hands of Dartas Pytin's forces from Car'das.
Rilis existed as a non-player character featured in the 2003 video game titled Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, developed by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts, before it shut down operations on December 15, 2011. Rilis's inclusion in the game occurred as a component of the "New Player Tutorial," which was implemented with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
