Roberts, having once been a pirate, ultimately abandoned that life. This individual, Roberts, at one time lived in a palace situated in Patagonia within the Patagonia system; this palace served as the retirement destination for Luuke Skywalker, the clone of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, after he was superseded by another clone, Luuuke Skywalker.
The character of Roberts appears in "An Apology," a brief non-canon tale penned by Timothy Zahn. This story was published on April 1, 2012 as an April Fool's prank. Interestingly, Roberts' designation is identical to the Dread Pirate Roberts, a pirate figure featured in The Princess Bride, who likewise chose to retire in the Patagonia area.
