Luuuke Skywalker was a clone of Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Master. He was created by Grand Admiral Thrawn to act as his agent within the galactic community. Thrawn secretly controlled this community, using a legion of clones to replace key figures. The original Luke died in 9 ABY. After the Lost Tribe of Sith emerged in 43 and 44 ABY, Thrawn's initial Luke clone, Luuke Skywalker, retired after years of service. He was then quickly succeeded by Luuuke, who assumed the role of Grand Master of the New Jedi Order and became a significant political figure. Luuuke later formed a Clone Army from the clones Thrawn had produced over the years. Collaborating with another clone, Streeen, Luuuke engineered a time machine and used it to launch an attack on the galaxy during the Clone Wars.
Grand Admiral Thrawn created Luuuke Skywalker, a genetic duplicate or clone of the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, to function as his agent within the galactic community. He was intended to support the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances government and to occupy the position of Grand Master within the New Jedi Order, serving as just one of Thrawn's many clone servants in similarly influential roles. Luuuke replaced another clone, Luuke Skywalker, who had served this purpose for decades following the original's death in 9 ABY, actually attaining the rank of Grand Master. Luuke successfully transitioned with Luuuke after the emergence of a Sith tribe in 43 ABY and 44 ABY.
Having inherited Luke Skywalker's identity, Luuuke embarked on a mission to unite all the clones created by Thrawn, establishing a Clone Army with the goal of dominating the galaxy. Eventually, he and another clone named Streeen jointly constructed a time machine. Using this device, they transported their Army back to the galaxy during the era of the Clone Wars, where they engaged in combat with the Galactic Republic's own Clone Army, as well as the Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As Luuke Skywalker's replacement, Luuuke was his exact physical replica, possessing the same genetic makeup as the original Luke Skywalker. The long-deceased Skywalker was a Force-sensitive Human with blue eyes, light skin, blond hair, and a height of 1.72 meters. Luuuke seamlessly integrated into the galactic community, assuming the appearance Luke would have had if he had lived to be sixty-three years of age.
Luuuke was referenced in "An Apology," a non-canonical short story penned by Timothy Zahn and released on April 1, 2012 as an April Fools' Day prank. Within the story's context, any depiction of Luke Skywalker after the Fate of the Jedi series would be Luuuke. Furthermore, the article accompanying "An Apology" jokingly announced that Luuuke would be the protagonist of upcoming novels, such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2: Luuuke by Zahn. The book cover provided displayed Luuuke, visually based on a previously existing image of Luke confronting the Dark Spirit during the events of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. The novel series, The Clone Wars 2 or Son of Clone Wars, was intended to have an endless stream of releases, with Luuuke's adventure alongside Streeen planned for the seventeenth installment. Although considered indistinguishable from his predecessors, it remained unclear whether Luuuke continued to use cybernetic prosthetics, which the original Luke needed after losing his hand in a duel.
