During the era of the Galactic Civil War, there existed a male Human criminal known as Romo Vax. This individual operated as a member of the Sennex pirate group situated on Tatooine.
Within the ranks of the Sennex, Romo Vax engaged in activities characteristic of pirates and slavers, demonstrating hostility towards Jabba the Hutt. Following the events of the Battle of Yavin, Romo Vax successfully infiltrated Jabba Desilijic Tiure's criminal empire which was based on Tatooine.
In the year 1 ABY, a bounty hunter by the name of Hizram Riean pursued Romo Vax. Bib Fortuna, Jabba's majordomo, promptly sent a spacer to eliminate the bounty hunter before he could reach Jabba's Palace.
At one juncture, Fortuna grew suspicious of Romo Vax, suspecting him of potentially betraying Jabba's organization. Consequently, he enlisted the services of the Wayfar spies to monitor Vax's activities. However, the Sennex eventually discerned that Vax was under surveillance. In 1 ABY, Bib Fortuna dispatched a spacer with the task of extracting information from Romo Vax on behalf of Jabba. In an effort to eliminate the Wayfar spies, Romo Vax deceived the spacer into believing that they were enemies of Jabba, despite the fact that they were employed by Fortuna. As a result, the misled spacer proceeded to eliminate several Wayfar spies in the desert, including their leader, Dewall Paez. Vax later asserted that the information sought by Bib Fortuna had been pilfered by Valarian slicers, who also erased the data from his datapad. Subsequently, the spacer launched an assault on the Valarian hackers' bunker to recover the stolen data. Ultimately, Bib Fortuna discovered that Vax had orchestrated the demise of his spies and was also culpable for providing the information to the Valarians. Consequently, the majordomo instructed the spacer to assassinate the traitor. Romo Vax met his end at the hands of the spacer, along with his Sennex accomplices, within his secret hideout situated near Jabba's Palace.

Before its shutdown on December 15, 2011, Romo Vax appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. Vax was incorporated in the game's initial release, as part of the first iteration of the Jabba's Theme Park. Due to Vax's spawning under the "noble" template, his appearance was subject to randomization, selecting from forty-two potential depictions, and would change after each server restart.
With the introduction of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005, Jabba's Theme Park underwent significant revamping. Along with substantial storyline revisions, Romo Vax was assigned a distinct visual identity.
