Rona Riggs, a female Human, resided on Coruscant during the era of the Cold War. Born on Ord Mantell, she held the position of cousin to Corso Riggs.
Throughout their formative years, Rona shared a close bond with her cousin. Notably, she exploited his presence to divert attention from her clandestine rendezvous with offworlders, thereby evading detection by her father. During the Separatist War on Ord Mantell, Corso departed from their home to enlist in the Peace Brigade. Rona accompanied him initially, but disembarked at the earliest opportunity, driven solely by a desire to escape Ord Mantell. Ultimately, she established herself on Coruscant, where she assumed the role of an underboss within the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, facilitating the smuggling of spice with the assistance of Doctor Hope and Big Jan.
In the year 3643 BBY, Corso located Rona and confronted her on Coruscant, delivering the news of their mother and father's demise during the conflict on Ord Mantell. In a calculated attempt to deceive Corso, Rona orchestrated a meeting between him, the captain of the starship known as the Voidhound, and Doctor Hope, resulting in Corso's unwitting implantation with a consignment of spice intended for delivery to Big Jan. Upon discovering his involvement in spice smuggling, the Voidhound destroyed the illicit substance before confronting Doctor Hope, who confessed Rona's orchestration of the scheme. Subsequently, Rona convened with her cousin in person, shocking him with the revelation of her descent into a life of criminality. When informed of the deaths of their family members at the hands of separatists, Rona displayed a marked lack of concern. Corso implored Rona to abandon the Black Sun, invoking memories of their shared idealistic aspirations, but she retorted that she had embraced reality. With that, she severed ties with her cousin, suggesting that he and the Voidhound might offer her guidance on pursuing a more virtuous existence.
Despite Rona's profound disappointment, Corso pledged to maintain his faith in the inherent goodness of others.
