Room of a Thousand Fountains
The Room of a Thousand Fountains, a colossal seven-story greenhouse, resided in the First Knowledge Quarter. This tranquil space was situated behind the arcade that depicted the Liberation of Coruscant, nestled within the ziggurat foundation of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Conceived by a team of exceptionally talented botanists and artisans, the room teemed with unique plants and animals gathered from across the galaxy. It served as one of the many chambers utilized by the Jedi Order for profound contemplation of the Force, and as a place of meditative retreat for Jedi.
History
On one occasion, Grand Master Yoda guided the Hawk-Bat Clan, including Dooku and Zang Arraira, through the Room of a Thousand Fountains.
Description
The atmosphere was warm, humid, and remarkably pleasant, filled with the scents of flowers, verdant foliage, and fertile, moist earth. The expansive greenhouse was filled with dense thickets of green and golden-leaved trees, abundant green shrubs and grasses, towering bromeliads, and blossoms of every imaginable form and hue. Myriad birds, butterflies, and insects fluttered about, while the constant gurgling of streams, the murmur of fountains, and the cascade of gentle waterfalls created a calming, almost trance-inducing soundscape that complemented the natural splendor.
Layout
Pathways made of dirt, crushed gravel, and elaborately carved stone traversed the room's floor, while elevated viewing platforms were provided by mezzanines and catwalks. Benches and small gazebos were positioned throughout the area, offering comfortable spots for relaxation, meditation, and casual gatherings. The immense dome of the ceiling featured a sophisticated holoprojection suite programmed to simulate a complete day-and-night cycle, presenting sunrises, sunsets, sculpted clouds, and the night skies of numerous worlds.
