Rovi, a Human of male gender, served as a security officer at the High Card Casino located on the planet of Danteel throughout the Galactic Civil War. In secret, Rovi plotted with Darim Chumu, the casino's business operations director, to ruin Veilred Jydor's reputation, who was the casino's proprietor. Rovi committed murder against Jydor's competitor, Carisica Vanq, and subsequently blamed Jydor for the act. Shortly thereafter, Lando Calrissian, a gambler, was heard discussing Vanq within the casino, leading Chumu to dispatch Rovi to escort Calrissian to the manager's chambers.
