Rund Jesela, a Bothan male, existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, he took up residence on Tansarii Point Station, a space station orbiting Ord Mantell within the Bright Jewel system. His role there was director of the station's cloning facilities. He also served as an operative for the Rebel Alliance, gathering intelligence on Imperial activities for Agent Garek. In the year 1 ABY, Agent Garek encountered a spacer wanting to aid the Rebellion. To test this potential recruit, Garek gave the spacer the task of acquiring sensitive datadisks from Rund Jesela, and another Rebel spy named Adery Shrial. Even though the datadisks held nothing more than Grandma Drake's soup recipes, the spacer completed the mission successfully and was subsequently assigned to a genuine operation.
Rund Jesela made an appearance as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. Rund Jesela was integrated into the game as a component of the "New Player Tutorial," which was introduced with the release of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
