The Ruusan Armistice represented a truce, a cessation of fighting, that was reached at some juncture in the history of the galaxy. This agreement resulted in the development of novel benchmarks for ethical conduct during periods of armed conflict. During an official resolution of censure aimed at Saw Gerrera of the Partisans, Mon Mothma pointedly denounced him for his failure to uphold the customs and practices that had been instituted by the Ruusan Armistice. The armistice shared its designation with the planet of Ruusan, situated within the Mid Rim Territories.
The initial reference to the Ruusan Armistice within Star Wars canon occurred in the 2017 reference publication Star Wars: The Rebel Files, authored by Daniel Wallace. Within the narrative framework of Star Wars Legends, the Armistice Celebrations constituted a commemorative occasion, marking the anniversary of the Ruusan Reformation. These celebrations were initially alluded to in the 2007 novel titled Darth Bane: Rule of Two.
