S6 represented one of a dozen zones of identical size situated on the southern half of the Death Star. This colossal battle station was constructed by the Galactic Empire. Similar to the other hemispheres on the space station, this specific zone extended across 31.4 kilometers of the Death Star's perimeter. It was overseen from a bridge and encompassed various sectors, each assigned with specific functions. The Death Star, zone S6 included, met its end in 0 BBY. Adjacent to Zone S6 were zones S5 and S7.
