Sardoran, once called Ord Sardoran, was a planet situated within the Sardoran system. This system is located in the Arrowhead, also known as the Slice, a section of the Core Worlds. During the Pius Dea Era, which spanned from around 12,000 BBY to 11,000 BBY, it functioned as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic. Casti Tholon, a Human who was active around 2 ABY, was born on Sardoran, but spent her formative years in the Duro system of the Core Worlds.
The initial mention of Sardoran occurred in Alliance Intelligence Reports, a 1995 sourcebook created for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Later, in 2009, The Essential Atlas pinpointed the Sardoran [system](/article/star_system-legends], and thus the planet, within grid square M-11. The 2012 book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart, revealed its previous designation as "Ord Sardoran."
