Sarlacc's Peak existed within the Carbon Score Wastes on the planet Socorro, and was in proximity to the urban sprawl of Killee-Kor. In the era of the Second Imperial Civil War, the pirate known as Rav chose this peak as the docking location for his starship, known as the Crimson Axe. Legend had it that a sarlacc once dwelled at the peak's summit, however it had perished many centuries prior to the establishment of the Galactic Empire.
