Scanning in the Vergesso Asteroids

The Rebel Alliance, desiring additional intelligence concerning the new Imperial superweapon, opted to launch an assault on one of Grand Moff Tarkin's research installations.

Given the strong defenses of the target station, Han Solo received orders to infiltrate an Imperial cargo depot situated within the Vergesso Asteroids. His objective was to affix an EMP device to a shipping container destined for Tarkin's facility.

Piloting the Millennium Falcon, Han Solo, accompanied by Chewbacca, initiated a scan of the asteroid system. Their goal was to locate a container scheduled for delivery to Tarkin's research station.

Boba Fett, piloting the Slave I, appeared in the system at some point, hunting for Solo, but the Falcon successfully evaded him.

After eliminating several patrolling TIE/LN starfighters, Han identified the appropriate container, successfully attached the EMP device, and departed the system before further Imperial reinforcements could arrive.

Following the Millennium Falcon's departure, the container, now carrying its added payload, was dispatched to Tarkin's research facility, which was stationed in orbit above Corulag. A Rebel fleet was swiftly assembled to conduct a raid on the station.

This specific battle served as the eighth mission within the Rebel campaign of the 2006 video game Star Wars: Empire at War.
