87-RM Scout Collectors
These droid units, designated 87-RM Scout Collectors, were deployed on Orellon II by an unidentified and long-gone civilization. This deployment occurred centuries prior to the events of the Galactic Civil War. Their operational hub was a completely self-operating starship which served as their base of operation.

The collector droids' appearance was similar to that of levitating rectangular containers. Reaching a height of two meters, they possessed repulsorlift technology for mobility, in addition to two manipulator claws, defensive shields, and a flash-freeze mechanism. The droids' designated function was to gather incapacitated organic beings, their locations identified by scout droids, and transport them back to their starship base.
Four of these droids were active within the jungles of Orellon II. The indigenous Kentra people believed them to be demons. When a contingent of Rebels arrived on Orellon II, the Kentra King, named Jerius, tasked them with eliminating the perceived demonic threat.

The original design served as the basis for the 87-RM Scout Collectors. These repulsorlift-equipped droids, manufactured by Serv-O-Droid, Inc. and later by SoroSuub, bore a resemblance to three-meter-tall, airborne waste receptacles. They were outfitted with searchlights and a pair of cushioned appendages. Their purpose was the retrieval of biological specimens, which were then stored within a central compartment and subjected to flash-freezing.
Rumor had it that a malfunctioning Collector droid was responsible for the deaths of 300 colonists on Corva Yag. However, many suspected that the colonists had inadvertently discovered a clandestine Imperial facility and were subsequently "silenced."
