Secles Usopos served as a male councilor of the Sluissi species, working for Abdi-Badawzi, who was a crime lord of the Twi'lek species, on the planet Socorro.
Accompanied by a pair of Gamorreans, he journeyed to the Black Dust Tavern. His purpose was to extend an invitation to Drake Paulsen and his father, Kaine Paulsen, to attend a meeting arranged by Abdi-Badawzi. Despite Drake's rejection, he was stunned and abducted by Abdi-Badawzi as he departed the tavern. Drake was then transported to the crime lord's headquarters. Inside Abdi-Badawzi's private chamber, Uslopos instructed the assembled individuals to maintain silence, allowing the gangster to speak to Drake and coerce him into undertaking a smuggling operation.
