Section nine was a region of the Ring of Kafrene, a trading post located in the Thand sector. Shortly before the Battle of Scarif, Cassian Jeron Andor and Tivik met in the sector, an encounter than provided Andor with intelligence about the Death Star and led to the deaths of Tivik and two Imperial stormtroopers.
