Seismic surveyors represented a specific class of droid that found application within the context of mining endeavors. These droids possessed the capability to generate a three-dimensional representation of subterranean geological structures, a feature that proved advantageous in refining the efficiency of mineral acquisition. Following the Galactic Empire's acquisition of the Ollet homestead, these droids were dispatched to conduct surveys of the terrain in preparation for its transformation into a mining site. During an excursion to the jogan fruit orchards by Beck Ollet alongside his companions, Zare Leonis and Merei Spanjaf, they came across several of these droids that had been prepared for detonation. The group's arrival unintentionally disrupted this act of sabotage, as the individuals responsible had not yet activated the detonators. Leonis then communicated the sabotage to the relevant authorities, who subsequently disarmed the explosive devices.
