Dia Passik

title: Dia Passik

Dia Passik, originally known as Diap'assik, was a Twi'lek female. She became a valuable member of Wraith Squadron as they fought against the renegade Imperial warlord named Zsinj.

Biography

Born Diap'assik, Dia Passik's early life was marked by enslavement, far from her home planet of Ryloth. She spent much of her youth on the Violet Hem, the yacht of her enslaver. She later admitted to her squadron comrades that she held some resentment towards other Twi'leks who had betrayed her to the slavers.

Possessing remarkable intelligence and a sharp mind, Passik managed to persuade mercenary pilots to teach her how to pilot starfighters and other spacecraft. After gaining sufficient skill, Passik absconded with a shuttlecraft and, after disabling the shields, destroyed the Violet Hem—marking her first experience in combat.

Eventually, she found her way to the territory of the New Republic, where she joined Wraith Squadron in 7 ABY. Taking over from Falynn Sandskimmer, she became the Wraiths' vehicle expert, demonstrating extensive knowledge of various criminal syndicates. During the Wraiths' mission to infiltrate Zsinj's operations, Passik adopted the guise of Captain Seku, a pirate leader of the Hawk-bat Independent Space Force, working alongside Kell Tainer, Garik Loran, and Shalla Nelprin. To prove their allegiance, Zsinj demanded that the fake pirates execute Castin Donn, a Wraith who had secretly boarded their ship. Passik fired her blaster at Donn's already lifeless body, allowing the team to proceed with their infiltration. Overwhelmed by guilt and self-disgust, she nearly took her own life but was stopped by Garik Loran, who convinced her that her actions had saved his life.

Throughout the campaign against Zsinj, Passik served with honor alongside the Wraiths and the task force led by Han Solo. During her time with the squadron, she developed a romantic relationship with Garik "Face" Loran, helping him cope with the loss of his close friend Ton Phanan.

Later, she participated in the Yuuzhan Vong War, remaining with Wraith Squadron until the conflict's conclusion.

By 44 ABY, Passik had married Loran and started a family, raising their daughter with the human pilot. At this point in her life, Passik was employed as a pilot and partner in a commercial air and space transport company.

Behind the scenes

Aaron Allston, the author of X-Wing: Solo Command, mentioned on his website that Passik would likely have left the New Republic after the Zsinj campaign to fight against slavers on Ryloth. However, this information is not confirmed by any canon material, leaving its actuality uncertain.
