Separatist Senate Building

The Separatist Senate Building, alternatively called the Separatist Parliament Building, functioned as the central hub for the Senate of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. It was situated in Raxulon, the capital city of Raxus Secundus.

Description

The building in the middle of the urban sprawl.

Located in the core of Raxulon, the capital city, the Separatist Senate Building, also referred to as the Separatist Parliament headquarters or Separatist Parliament Building, was a highly decorated structure. Rising prominently above the surrounding cityscape, it was encircled by circular roadways, with a tree-filled plaza nearly enclosed by the complex. The Senate chamber, located inside the primary structure, featured rows of seats for representatives on either side of the central podium. Count Dooku would preside over crucial decisions, appearing either physically or as a hologram.

The Separatist Senate building made its initial appearance in "Heroes on Both Sides," the tenth installment of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' third season, an animated television program, which was broadcast on November 19, 2010. Although the episode itself did not provide a name for the building, its identity was revealed in concept art featured in the accompanying Episode Guide on StarWars.com. Pat Presley created the concept art for the Separatist Senate Building's exterior, drawing inspiration from the artwork of Ralph McQuarrie.
