Shador, a planet situated within the Mid Rim region, lay along the Gamor Run trade route. This world served as the homeworld of the Shadorian species and possessed an atmosphere so noxious that breathing it caused discomfort to Humans. Swamps were the predominant geographical feature, with settlements constructed upon pylons to elevate them above the pervasive wetlands.
The inhabitants of this world, called Shadorians, were reputed to be skilled assassins. On at least two occasions, Han Solo made visits to this planet, his second visit occurring shortly after the Battle of Yavin while transporting an unconscious Darth Vader.
