Shadow of the Sith was an idea for a video game created by W. Haden Blackman to be made at the LucasArts video game company. The game's setting would have been a distant future, much later than the events of the primary Star Wars storyline, and would have involved Sith. Production was discontinued when Blackman's attention turned to the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II video game.
The creation of Shadow of the Sith commenced at LucasArts in 2008, once the development of the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was nearing its completion. Previously, in 2004, W. Haden Blackman had proposed a project named Star Wars Episode VII: Shadows of the Sith, which centered around the character Ben Skywalker. Although that initial project was not realized, Blackman reused certain ideas, including a portion of the title, for Shadow of the Sith in 2008. The game's setting would have been a distant future, much later than the events of the main Star Wars storyline, and would have involved Sith.
In the end, production of Shadow of the Sith was abandoned, and Blackman dedicated his efforts to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. The idea of a "far-future" Sith video game was later incorporated into Battle of the Sith Lords, another canceled project being developed at Red Fly Studio under the supervision of LucasArts.
