The Shafr Center Press, its associated publishing house, released The Shafr Anthology of Galactic Language, Second Edition, a scholarly endeavor, in the year 38 ABY. Furthermore, the xenoarchaeologist Doctor Follnor Callat, known for his controversial standing among academics and subsequent rejection by numerous galactic universities, faced termination from the main campus of Shafr Center at some point before 3 ABY.
The roleplaying quest "Race for the Tessent" featured Shafr Center; it was intended for use with Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game and appeared in the ninth issue of the Star Wars Gamer periodical, released on February 22, 2002.
