Follnor Callat

Follnor Callat was a male Human. During the New Order period and the early stages of the Galactic Civil War, he transitioned from an academic into a treasure hunter, leveraging his scholarly skills.

Biography

Born on Alsakan, Follnor Callat held a sense of superiority over those not from the Core. Initially a professor, he gained recognition as a highly knowledgeable and intelligent figure in xenoarchaeology. His career took a downturn due to unethical practices, including theft and deceit at archaeological sites. Consequently, he lost his academic positions at the University of Sanbra, was dismissed from the Shafr Center, and received a ban from the University of Rudrig. Despite these setbacks, he maintained connections with former students, enlisting their help in his artifact hunts.

Callat's approach to xenoarchaeology resulted in multiple arrest warrants. His disregard for local antiquities laws, standard procedures, and his habit of raiding other archaeologists' sites led to confrontations with Iotran Antiquities Enforcement.

Being an Alsakan native, Callat was particularly interested in the Alsakan Tessent, a precious idol lost from Alsakan. To secure this artifact, Callat assembled a team of four former students from the University of Rudrig. He also hired mercenaries, including Fenn Shysa and an unnamed Blood Carver thief, to deter or track potential rivals.

Callat transported his team aboard his Placid-class freighter to Ast Kikorie and the academic hub at Kikorie Port's Lon Heights. He was pursuing rumors that the Tessent would arrive at the destroyed Ast Kikorie Station via an unidentified Guard of Aldera. Unbeknownst to Callat, the guard had perished in a shuttle crash far from the station's wreckage, and he intended to search the space station's remains.

Shysa and the mercenaries repeatedly encountered a group of explorers also seeking the Tessent. Ultimately, the rival explorers discovered the artifact first. Callat and his group confronted them, but the outcome remains uncertain. Shysa may have betrayed Callat, stealing the idol to fund the resistance on Mandalore.
