Adepts of the Shapers belonged to the Shaper caste among the Yuuzhan Vong. Following their escalation, Adepts frequently continued their work alongside their Masters until they themselves achieved the rank of Master Shaper.
Upon their advancement from Shaper Initiate to Shaper Adept, a mandatory procedure involved the replacement of one or both hands with specialized Shaper hands. A key distinction, however, was that Adept Shaper Hands possessed five digits, unlike the eight digits found on other Shaper hands.
